I’m all about Surface Gel Tek’s gelled acid products so let me show you what could go right using them in terms of surface preparation for overlayments, coatings and protective coatings.
We all understand proper surface prep will eliminate failures – how clean the concrete surface is and the profile of this surface – allows the proper bonding of whatever you install over it.
When you use HD24 Pre Grind or Tek Gel for Profiling to clean and profile your surface you will achieve the proper bond.
What could go right is proper profile without the use of mechanical equipment.
The cost associated with grinding equipment is fairly consistent, however, the economy varies from state to state; so what that means is $1.25 per sq. ft. can be charged in one place but perhaps only $.80 per sq. ft. in another. The cost per sq. ft. with HD24 or Tek Gel is less than $.30. Therefore, the minimum savings is $.50 per sq. ft. and that is if you don’t have to rent the equipment to do mechanical profiling.
